QUICK REFERENCE guidelines for keeping a sick child home from school:
- Child should be fever-free for 24 hours (without fever-reducing medication).
- Child should be free of vomiting/diarrhea for 24 hours.
- If diagnosed with strept throat or conjunctivitis, child must have 24 hours of antibiotic treatment before returning.

Attention Parents:
If your child requires over-the-counter medication during the school day, you must complete an Over-the counter Medication Permission Form and bring it in with the medication (in the original container) to the health room by an adult. *Prescription medications require the prescribing Physician’s signature.

Student Health Screenings:
- Vision screenings will be offered in October for interested students. Dr. Lee from Palmetto Vision Center provides the screenings at no charge to the student.
- Hearing and speech screenings will also be offered. Pee Dee Speech & Hearing provides these screenings at a minimal charge.
