Welcome from the Admissions Office
Thank you for your interest in The King's Academy. It is our privilege to share the school with you through our web site. While we hope this gives you an idea of what the Lord is providing here, let me encourage you to call to schedule a visit to our campus. Please call the TKA Admissions Office at 843-661-7464 ext. 36 to schedule a tour or email me at pdavidson@tkaflorence.com.
Through our numerous sporting events, fine arts productions and our annual "Getting To Know Us Night" held in January, we provide opportunities to share our campus with the community and prospective families. You are always welcome to come visit us in these settings.
It is our prayer that you find the school that the Lord is leading you to. However, we would consider it an honor to give you some of the "TKA family" experience and get to know you as well.
Phyllis Davidson, Admissions Director
1. Apply - to apply for admission, either contact TKA's Admission Director at 661-7464 ext. 36 or download forms from our web site . Complete the New Student Application, Medical Form, Parent Consent Form, and the Financial Agreement Form. Turn the application and forms into the TKA Admission's Office along with a copy of the following: recent report card, standardized test scores, birth certificate and social security card. The $50 Application Fee must also accompany each application. This fee is non-refundable and non transferable.
2. Interview - After the application, forms, records, and fee has been received, TKA's Admission's Director will schedule a family interview with at least one parent and the student if he/she is in 6-12 grade. TKA is a ministry to Christian families, so the interview gives the TKA administration the opportunity to share the school's vision and one of the parents the opportunity to share their testimony of salvation and desire for Christian education. The administration will also discuss school policies and answer any questions about procedures.
3. Testing - Students in 5K and 1st grade are tested prior to acceptance. This test will be scheduled after the family interview. If standardized testing is not available for older students, the administration may require grade level testing by TKA staff to ensure appropriate placement. Please review TKA's acceptance policy for students with academic or behavioral concerns.
4. Acceptance - Upon a successful completion of the previous steps, the student is considered accepted at The King's Academy.
5. Registration - Once accepted, the Registration Fee of $200 is due. This fee holds the student's place in a class. Like the Application Fee, Registration Fees are non refundable and nontransferable.
